Baldwin Brass 12 Days of Christmas Ornaments
I see these ornaments and I start humming, I can't help myself. We all sang the 12 days in school or at home and enjoyed it with the progressive passing of the 12 days from a single partridge to the ten lords a leaping. I think the verses conjured all sorts of images for us with our youthful imaginations. Older and perhaps the wiser I sit humming and enjoying the 12 days again in the Baldwin Brass version which is a wonderfully detailed set shown below.

One of the original plans for ending the 12 day series was to conclude it with a single ornament for the 12th day that had all the days represented.
Baldwin Brass was in a state of flux at the time and the push back from collectors made them rethink the plan. They ended up issuing a 12th day individual ornament as well as an ornament with all 12 days represented and this is it.
